Arvid and Xander are no strangers to the Amsterdam restaurant environment. Arvid previously cooked at Aan de Amstel, Sausage, Bak , Beulings and Speijkervet. Xander has hosted Lille , Toscanini , Arles and the Hartering brothers . In 2015 they set up Restaurant de Trekvogel together, a restaurant that once in a while settled in special places in Amsterdam. Arvid cooked a fixed 5-course menu and Xander provided a small wine list. This collaboration resulted in the desire to set up a restaurant together. And so it happened. The ideal building was found in April 2017, and Restaurant Entrepot has been open since November 2017 at Entrepotdok 7-8.
"We serve exciting, but at the same time comfortable dishes and we have a wide, idiosyncratic wine list. Our restaurant is located at the iconic Entrepotdok, around the corner from the cozy Kadijksplein. Our chef Arvid mainly cooks with local and seasonal products, often on an open fire. On the basis of these two pillars, he puts together a high-quality menu every day. The wine list has a dynamic and European character, with mainly wines from France and some from Italy, Germany, Spain & Austria. We strive for a pleasant and intimate atmosphere. We also have a separate bar area, so it's no problem to just drop by for a glass of wine, a beer or a small dish."
