Food at a high level, but then just at the bar. That was the ultimate dream for Chefs Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot. After working for years at classic star restaurants, they therefore opened 212: a restaurant without tables.
At 212 you eat at the bar built around the kitchen. The chefs literally cook in front of you and put the dishes in front of you themselves. Both Richard and Thomas are classically trained, but make full use of new techniques to make their cuisine even more refined. The focus is not so much on innovation, but on deepening. This means that dishes are on the menu for quite some time because they are being further perfected.
